Common questions about how HostTarget works, where the data comes from, and what it costs. Logged-in users can also find this FAQ under Help Center in the app.
A tool for short-term rental management companies. It scans a market for listings with weak reviews and revenue below the market average, scores each one, and helps your team turn the good ones into a shared pipeline of businesses worth pitching a takeover to.
STR management companies looking to grow by taking over management of distressed or underperforming properties — anyone whose sales pipeline currently starts with a lot of manual scrolling through listings.
There's a free tier to try it out (a handful of scans and a small lead cap, no credit card). Paid plans start at $29/month and scale up with scan volume, team seats, and unlimited saved leads — see the plan picker in the app for current pricing. You can cancel anytime from account settings; see our Terms of Service for the details.
Yes. Leads belong to your company account, not to whoever added them. Anyone on your team who logs in — or joins using your company's join code, under Company settings — sees the same shared pipeline, from any device.
Straight from the source. Search results (price, rating, review count) load live from public listing and search pages, and more detailed info like per-category ratings, host details, and amenities comes from a listing's own page for the specific properties you want to look closer at. Market-level benchmarks and the revenue/opportunity comparisons are computed from that same live data across every listing we see in a market.
No, and we want to be upfront about that. There's no public source for a listing's actual booked nights or occupancy — booking platforms only share that with the host. What you see (current, potential, and lost revenue) is an estimate built from nightly rate, star rating, and review volume — a good signal for prioritizing your outreach, not a number to quote as fact. Every revenue figure in the app is labeled "Estimated data" for this reason.
Severity tells you how bad the guest reviews are. Opportunity tells you whether fixing them is worth it — how a listing's estimated revenue compares to the market average. A property can score high on one and low on the other; the best leads usually score well on both.
Double-check the spelling, or try a nearby city — some small towns don't have enough active listings to return anything. City and state don't need a comma between them, so "Reno NV" and "Reno, NV" both work.
We recheck it automatically on a schedule and drop any newly-distressed listing straight into your pipeline, so you don't have to re-search it yourself. The Markets tab shows the status of each one (Watching / Pending first check / Stale) so you always know it's being kept current.
Your company's leads and account info are only visible to people logged into your company. We don't sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Inside the app: Settings → Privacy has Export CSV (your whole pipeline as a spreadsheet) and a self-serve Delete account option. If you'd rather not use the in-app flow, email support@hosttarget.app — see our Privacy Policy for the full process.
