Cookie Policy

Effective date: July 25, 2026 · Last updated: July 25, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Neddz Research LLC ("HostTarget," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar browser storage on the HostTarget service (the "Service"). It's part of the same agreement as our Privacy Policy, which has a shorter summary of this same information in its Cookies & Sessions section — this page goes into more detail and is the one our on-site cookie banner links to.

1.What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store, then sends back on later requests to that site — used to keep you logged in, remember a preference, or (on many sites, though not currently this one) track behavior for advertising. We keep the list short and say plainly what each one is for below.

2.Essential Cookies

CookiePurposeDurationCan I decline it?
Session/auth cookieKeeps you logged in and identifies your account and company on each request. Stored httpOnly, so it isn't readable by page scripts.Until you log out or it expiresNo — the Service can't authenticate you without it. You can always choose not to use the Service.

This is the only cookie HostTarget itself sets today. It's "strictly necessary" in the sense most cookie laws use that term — it exists to provide a feature you directly asked for (staying logged in), not to track or profile you, so it isn't gated behind the cookie banner's Accept/Decline choice.

3.Local Storage (Not a Cookie, But Similar)

Your light/dark theme choice and your saved cookie preference itself (see Section 5) are stored using your browser's local storage, not a cookie — technically different (it's never sent to our server automatically the way a cookie is), but disclosed here anyway since it serves the same "remember something about your visit" purpose. Both stay on your device only and can be cleared anytime via your browser's site-data settings.

4.Analytics Cookies

Not active yet. HostTarget does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other analytics or advertising cookie. We may add an analytics provider in the future to help us understand which features get used. If we do, this section will be updated with the specific provider and what it collects before it starts running, and our cookie banner will ask for your consent — analytics cookies will never load silently or by default.

If enabled in the future, you'll always be able to opt out via the preference center described in Section 5, and declining will never block you from using the Service — analytics is optional by design, unlike the essential session cookie above.

5.Managing Your Preferences

A cookie banner appears the first time you visit if you haven't made a choice yet, with three options: Accept all, Essential only, or Customize (which lets you toggle optional categories individually). You can change your mind anytime — look for the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page, which reopens the same panel regardless of what you chose before.

6.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, particularly if we add a new cookie or analytics provider. If we make a material change — like actually turning on analytics cookies for the first time — we'll update the "Last updated" date above and ask for your consent again via the banner rather than assuming an old choice still applies.
